Located off the east coast of Africa, north of Madagascar, the Seychelles archipelago known as a tourist destination by the world famous tropical beaches, beautiful scenery and many species of wildlife.

Seychelles Islands-including 115 islands, large and small, but perhaps most impressive and bright is Curieuse island. Curieuse in French means "Curious". This granite island emerged from the Indian Ocean to the 172m elevation, 4.6 km2 area, 3 km long, 1.5 km wide. This little paradise is a national marine park to protect special Aldabra tortoises.



The island was discovered in 1768 by French explorer - Marc Joseph Marion du Fresne. She named for the island is Curieuse - sailing ship namesake took her to the island dao. However, the island was destroyed by fire in 1771. In 1833, the island Curious were occupied by missionaries, to build a leprosy camp care of the Indian Ocean. A special point here is that there is no housing on the island, so visitors will stay on Praslin island nearby. Tourists come to the island Curious by boat to admire the lush green coconut trees, beaches and picturesque flora, plants with unique character, charm.


A nature reserve area was established in 1979 on the Curieuse island to care and nurture the giant turtles 300 years old and numerous rare birds.

Guests also can see hawksbill turtles, green turtles ... lay eggs and bury their eggs in the breeding season.


This nature reserve area is also known for rare birds, including warblers Seychelles and magpie -These are two of the rarest birds in the world.
