1. a brief introduction.
Algeria
is located in North Africa and is the second largest country of the Africa continent. Together with the neighbouring country Morocco, Algeria is a popular tourist
attraction, with lots of travellers during holidays. However, after the Civil
war in 1992, the travelling industry here is completely destroyed. After more
than a decade of inward conflict, the situation now is much improved. And tourists
can go far to the South of Sahara desert to travel along.
Despite that, the tourists are still quite conservative
while travelling to Algeria,
although the two areas Tassili N’Ajjer and Hoggar are both in the world
heritage list of UNESCO, the tribal culture here is vivid and lively, and the
daily troubles in other Arabian countries do not exist here. Travelling in Algeria is
somehow limited, especially to backpackers. But it is definitely not a reason
for you to miss this wonderful chance to witness with your own eyes the beauty
of this country
Algeria has the Meditteranean climate along the coastal areas
with cold, humid winter and hot, dry summer. The coasts are ideal places for
tourists to visit during spring and summer. And the Sahara
desert has a kind of burning, scorching heat in summer. That is why tourists
travel to Sahara desert from the end of autumn
to the beginning of spring, usually from November to April. Although the
average temperature during the day is approximately 25 Celsius degree, the
night here is very cold, especially in summer. The annual rainfall of Northern mountainous
areas is up to 1000 milimetres per year, and in Sahara
there is not a single raindrop. There are places where rain has not fallen for
a whole decade.
